A competition for pupils in Germany who like to find out how much fun chemistry and biotechnology is. Topic this year is Seas and Oceans. To enter, you have to form a team of three to five pupils and register at dechemax.de/anmeldung


From November 10 till the beginning of February 2017 every Thursday you will find a new question at www.dechemax.de/wettbewerb.html. You have to answer the questions till the following Wednesday. Out of eight questions you have to have at least six correct answers to enter round two. 


In round two, exciting experiments are awaiting you. All information and descriptions will be found at the web page. All experiments can be done at home in the kitchen. The three best teams will be invited to an award ceremony to Frankfurt. Each student will receive a certificate and a prize of 250 euros. In addition, approximately 10 % of the best entries will receive other prizes in the form of books and subscriptions to scientific journals.
