Training on XPS/ESCA and CasaXPS

View Full Event Details

This five-day set of short courses will be devoted to X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS/ESCA) and the processing of XPS spectra. The first 3 days will be on X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS/ESCA) including Data Processing. It will cover in detail the principles of XPS, instrumentation, imaging, qualitative and quantitative analysis, artifacts in spectra, and depth profiling. The last 2 days will be hands-on training with the CasaXPS software for the processing of XPS/ESCA data from practically any XPS instrument.

The courses are designed for scientists, engineers, technicians, and students who would like a detailed understanding of the principles and uses of XPS/ESCA and Data Processing for surface analysis and depth profiling. The courses are being taught by John T. Grant, University of Dayton. He is co-editor of the book: Surface Analysis by Auger and X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy.
