Angewandte Chemie 19/2016: New Tricks

Author: Angewandte Chemie International Edition

In this issue, T. Hudlicky et al. review the syntheses of amaryllidaceae constitutents and their unnatural derivatives. How do structure–activity relationships guide future modifications? The Highlight deals with photoregulation and gene expression by coenzyme B12 (K. Gruber and B. Kräutler).

In the Communications section, T. Weil et al. demonstrate the bottom-up fabrication of nanopatterned polymers on DNA origami by in situ radical polymerization (see picture). J. A. Lercher et al. discuss the mechanism of formation of the first carbon–carbon bond and the first olefin in the conversion of methanol to hydrocarbons. O. M. Bakr et al. observed a strong enhancement of luminescence as a consequence of gold doping of silver nanoclusters.
