ChemistryOpen is a multidisciplinary, gold-road open-access, international forum for the publication of outstanding Reviews, Minireviews, Full Papers and Communications from all areas of chemistry and related fields (2016 ISI Impact Factor: 2.918). ChemistryOpen was the first fully open access society-owned chemistry journal, co-owned by 16 continental European Chemical Societies, who have banded together in the alliance called ChemPubSoc Europe for the purpose of publishing high-quality journals in the field of chemistry and its border disciplines.

Based in Europe, ChemistryOpen attracts authors and readers from around the world. All papers are peer-reviewed, and electronic processing ensures accurate reproduction of text and data, plus short publication times.

An additional "Thesis Treasury" section provides rapid tracking of successful PhD theses passed by a recognized university through the DOI in the journal with a link to the electronic archive.

@impact factor

ChemistryOpen is a relatively young journal and was just recently accepted for indexing and abstracting in Thomson Reuters Web of Knowledge. ChemistryOpen will be receiving a first partial Impact Factor with the release of the Journal Citation Reports 2013 in the early summer of this year. An estimated value can already be calculated using their data, and it currently stands at around 3. Of course this value can still change, and we’ll have to wait a couple of months for the official IF.
