ThyssenKrupp Uhde, Dortmund, Germany, has acquired Otto Corporation, Tokyo, Japan. Otto Corporation, whose process portfolio fits ideally with ThyssenKrupp Uhde’s fields of activity, will in future operate in Japan as a wholly owned subsidiary under the name of ThyssenKrupp Otto.

In 1952 Nihon Otto K. K., Tokyo, was founded as a subsidiary of Dr. C. Otto GmbH, Bochum, Germany. From 1991 onwards it became an independent company trading under the name of Otto Corporation. The acquisition is the result of very close business relations over many years.
