Activities of 11‐Azaartemisinin and N ‐Sulfonyl Derivatives against Asexual and Transmissible Malaria Parasites

Abstract Dihydroartemisinin (DHA), either used in its own right or as the active drug generated in vivo from the other artemisinins in current clinical use—artemether and artesunate—induces quiescence in ring‐stage parasites of Plasmodium falciparum (Pf). Abstract A practical synthesis of the complex payload for an anti‐Staphylococcus aureus THIOMABTM antibody–antibiotic conjugate (TAC) is described. The route takes advantage of a delicate oxidative condensation, achieved using a semi‐continuous flow procedure. Attempted [2]Catenane Synthesis via a Quasi[1]catenane by a Templated Backfolding Strategy

A templated backfolding concept to construct a [2]catenane was attempted via a quasi[1]catenane showing an inverted spiro geometry. The template is covalently connected to the ketal‐connected semi‐perpendicular‐arranged linear precursors and spatially directs the sterically congested backfolding macrocyclizations that are required to give a quasi[1]catenane. Improved Thermal Stability of Lithium‐Rich Layered Oxide by Fluorine Doping

Abstract The thermal stability of lithium‐rich layered oxide with the composition Li(Li1/6Ni1/6Co1/6Mn1/2)O2−xFx (x=0.00 and 0.05) is evaluated for use as a cathode material in lithium‐ion batteries.
