Chemical Society of JapanThe Chemical Society of Japan (CSJ) will hold their 97th Annual Meeting from 16th–19th March, 2017. The conference will include the annual TCR Lecture 2017 by Professor Helma Wennemers, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich, Switzerland, on March 18, 2017. |
Korean Chemical SocietyThis year’s Spring Meeting of the KCS will be held on April 19th–21st, 2017 at KINTEX, Goyang. The plenary speaker will be Professor Carolyn Bertozzi from Stanford University, USA. |
Chinese Chemical SocietyThe International Congress on Analytical Sciences 2017 (ICAS2017) will be held on May 5th–8th in Haikou, China, hosted by Chinese Chemical Society and International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC). ICAS was initiated by a number of analytical chemists worldwide in 2001 in Tokyo, Japan, and held every five years ever since. It will be the first time for ICAS to be hosted in China. The theme of the ICAS2017 is “Analytical Chemistry-From Tool to Science”. The 7th Chemical Sciences and Society Summit will be held on September 4th–8th in Dalian, China, hosted by Chinese Chemical Society. The summit brings together experts from China, US, Japan, Germany and UK to discuss the urgent issues related to global challenges and frontier chemistry research. Each symposium in CS3 will be hosted in turn by the organizing countries and the 7th CS3 will be in China. The theme of the 7th CS3 is “Solar energy and photonics”. |
Institut Kimia MalaysiaThe Institut Kimia Malaysia (IKM) successfully organized the 24th IUPAC International Conference on Chemistry Education (ICCE) at Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia from 15th–20th August 2016 with 196 local delegates and 260 foreign delegates from 38 countries. One of the highlights of ICCE 2016 was the Global Launch of a new Electronic Interactive IUPAC Periodic Table at ICCE 2016 by IUPAC. The Institut Kimia Malaysia (IKM) is also organizing the 25th POLYCHAR 2017 World Forum on Advanced Materials from 2nd – 6th October 2017 at Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), Kuala Lumpur. The conference will be held concurrently with a biennial laboratory equipment exhibition, LabAsia 2017 on 3rd – 5th Oct 2017 at the PWTC Kuala Lumpur. Chemical Society of Vietnam and Institut Kimia MalaysiaThe Chemical Society of Vietnam (CSV) and Institut Kimia Malaysia (IKM), together with Asia Chem Corporation (ACC) and the Foundation for Interaction between Science and Technology (FIST) Japan, are jointly organizing the International Symposium on Pure & Applied Chemistry (ISPAC) 2017 from 8th – 10th June 2017 in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), Vietnam. The theme of ISPAC 2017 is “Chemistry for Sustainable Socio-Economic Development”. ISPAC 2017 is a major international scientific meeting covering all areas of pure and applied chemistry including chemistry education, careers and codes of ethics. The theme, Chemistry for Sustainable Socio-Economic Development, means that the Symposium will focus on the roles of chemistry in increasing economic productivity and social well-being as well as improving the quality of life. The keynote speakers will include specialists from Vietnam, Malaysia, and Japan, as well as others from Europe and America. See www.ispac2017.org for more information. |
Royal Australian Chemical InstituteThe Royal Australian Chemical Institute’s centenary congress of conferences, July 23rd–28th 2017 will be a unique event where 9 well-established individual meetings will be running alongside one another and a delegate to any of the meetings is a delegate to all at no extra cost. Seven of the partner events address speciality chemistry areas while two, the 17 ACC and the RACI national centenary conference, are general chemical science meetings and aim to cover any areas not addressed by the speciality meetings. Delegates are not limited to submitting abstract to a single meeting but can submit abstracts to any of the partner events that align with their chemical area of interest. The partner events are:
