At the TechnoPharm 2013 trade fair (23 to 25 April 2013),
the KSB Group company SISTO Armaturen S.A. will present a large variety of diaphragm valves for use in the pharmaceutical, food and cosmetics industries.

With its wealth of variants ranging from simple straight-way valves to customised, complex block-bodied multi-port diaphragm valves, the SISTO-C series in particular offers tailor-made solutions for almost every application. When designing the valve series, engineers attached special importance to ease of cleaning and minimum dead volume. Special metallic materials for the bodies and high-grade elastomers for the diaphragms make for high operating reliability and a long service life.

Alongside the valves, the SISTO-SK-i actual-position feedback unit will be on display. Its design makes it especially suitable for mounting onto linear actuators and for use in sterile processes. Continuous valve position recording allows the valve disc to be automatically adjusted within the 46 mm valve travel range. The unit can be initialised either on site via pushbutton or via the so-called “teach-in” function by remote initialisation from the process control station. All relevant information such as valve position, stand-by and failure statuses are signalled on site via LED and can optionally be transferred to the process control station. The actual-position feedback unit is fitted in a high-quality plastic housing which allows integration of a solenoid valve. An optional stainless steel housing is available to meet the most demanding requirements.
