The Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker (GDCh, German Chemical Society) has announced that approximately 20 of the best undergraduate students in chemistry and related disciplines will be eligible for 300 EUR per month for a period of 18 months from the newly established August Wilhelm von Hofmann Foundation.

Students must submit their application by 11 April 2012 to the GDCh local chapter President or the Speaker of the regional Young Chemists Forum at their university. The criteria for selection will be mainly academic performance and the economic situation of the student. The final decision about the number and names of grantees will be made on 26 April 2012.

More information can be found on the August-Wilhelm-von-Hofmann-Stiftung page of the GDCh
