On-surface synthesis unites the easy tunability of molecular materials and the promises of self-assembly as a revolutionary production method, with the sturdiness of covalently bonded structures. Because this approach bridges the fields of chemistry, physics, and materials science, the aim of this international workshop is to bring together researchers working in this field from different perspectives.
