The event, which is organized by the Bar-Ilan University Department of Chemistry, will cover all fields of chemistry, including basic and applied sciences, and chemistry education. It is held together with the Angewandte Symposium "Chemistry for our Future", which will take place on February 15, 2017.

Continuing the ICS tradition of hosting scientific delegations from top universities worldwide, this year they have collaborated with the Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker (GDCh, German Chemical Society), welcoming a delegation of outstanding scientists from the Ludwig-Maximilians University, Munich, who will present plenary and keynote lectures.

In addition to the scientific program, the meeting will feature a session titled "The Chemistry of Everyday", which will include lectures on popular topics and a special panel of Israeli Nobel Prize Laureates who will address the question "How can we raise the next generation of Nobel Laureates in Chemistry?"
