In this issue, O. Reiser, B. König et al. review visible-light photocatalysis in organic synthesis. What difference does it make? The Minireviews deal with electrobiorefineries (F. Harnisch, C. Urban) and emulsion and foam templating (C. Stubenrauch, A. Bismarck et al.). J. Boekhoven and D. Didier report on the Bürgenstock Conference earlier this year.

In the Communications section, H. Marbach et al. describe how to control the self-metalation rate of tetraphenylporphyrins on Cu(111) via cyano functionalization (see picture). X. Wang et al. present microcapsules based on metal–organic frameworks, and J. B. Sweeney et al. succeeded the direct amination of allyl alcohols with a simple, broad-scope nickel(0) precatalyst system. X.-F. Yu et al. enhanced the cytosolic delivery and release of CRISPR/Cas9 by black phosphorus nanosheets.
