Angewandte Chemie 38/2020: Fast and Long-Lasting

Author: Angewandte Chemie International Edition

In this issue, P. Kraft et al. review the chemistry of odorants. What has been hot or new in the past 20 years? The Minireviews deal with limiting factors for overall water splitting on organic photocatalysts (T. Edvinsson et al.) and iodane-guided C–H coupling (A. Shafir et al.).

In the original research section, M. Thuo et al. describe heat-free biomimetic metal molding on soft substrates. W. Liu et al. succeeded in copper-catalyzed deaminative difluoromethylation. S. Wang et al. report on a fast and long-lasting iron(III) reduction by boron (see picture). J. A. Birrell et al. reveal a sulfur atom bound to the active site of an O2-stable state of [FeFe] hydrogenase.
