Angewandte Chemie 39/2020: Live and Dynamic

Author: Angewandte Chemie International Edition

In this issue, B. Szyszko and L. Latos-Grażyński review expanded carbaporphyrinoids. How do they form organometallic complexes, Möbius aromatic compounds, chirality switches, or supramolecular systems? The minireviews deal with theoretical molecular photochemistry (S. Mai, L. González), the synthesis of acylboron compounds (J. W. Bode et al.), and stereospecific 1,2-migrations of boronate complexes.

In the original research section, L. Chen et al. describe the modulation of benzothiadiazole-based covalent organic frameworks via halogenation for photocatalytic water splitting (see picture). D. G. Kuroda et al. found the elusive C–H⋯O hydrogen bond in liquid solutions at room temperature. D. van Gerven and M. S. Wickleder present S6N2O15, a nitrogen-poor sulfur nitride oxide. I. Alfonso et al. succeeded in live-cell-templated dynamic combinatorial chemistry.
