In this issue, H. Nguyen et al. review the continuous-flow extraction of adjacent metals. Is there a disruptive economic window for in situ resource utilization of asteroids? The Minireviews deal with PROTACs and other chemical protein degradation technologies for the treatment of neurodegenerative disorders (S. Tomoshige, M. Ishikawa) and catalysis with palladium(I) dimers (F. Schoenebeck et al.). In their Viewpoint, M. Mahmoudi and L. Keashly propose a framework for coordinated global actions to diminish academic bullying.

In the original research section, Q. Li et al. describe the near-infrared light-driven shape-morphing of programmable anisotropic hydrogels enabled by MXene nanosheets (see picture). M. J. Rose et al. succeeded in single-step sulfur insertions into iron carbide carbonyl clusters, unlocking the door to FeMoco analogues. J. Qiu et al. report on a highly nitrogen-doped carbon obtained through a C-S-C linkage, and the identification of the active site in triiodide reduction. J. Pérez-Ramírez et al. quantified redox sites during catalytic propane oxychlorination by operando EPR spectroscopy. C. Zhu et al. present heterocyclization reagents for the rapid assembly of N-fused heteroarenes from alkenes.
