Author: Angewandte Chemie International Edition

In this issue, K. Haupt et al. review the use of molecularly imprinted polymers in the fight against antibiotic-resistant bacteria. The Minireview deals with framework nucleic acids in nuclear medical imaging (D. Jiang et al.). In a Highlight, N. A. Simeth shows how molecular pumps facilitate mechanical adsorption away from equilibrium.

In the original research section, R. A. Fischer et al. describe vectorial catalysis in microfluidic devices that are based on surface-anchored nanometer-sized metal–organic frameworks (see picture). C. J. Teskey et al. controlled the chemoselectivity of catalytic hydroboration with light. Q. Li et al. observed thermo- and mechanochromic camouflage and self-healing in biomimetic soft actuators based on liquid crystal elastomers. J. Chen et al. present a symmetric all-organic proton battery in mild electrolyte.
