Renewable feedstocks are the subject of this issue’s Review by J.-P. Lange. How can the deactivation of catalysts be mitigated? In a Minireview, R. López and C. Palomo discuss the role of alkylnitriles in catalytic C–C bond-forming reactions. The Highlight deals with the structure of arrestin-bound rhodopsin and its impact on the development of biased GPCR ligands (D. Müller and P. Gmeiner).

In the Communications section, F. Micoli et al. describe the impact of sugar-protein connectivity on the immunogenicity of Salmonella glycoconjugate vaccines (see picture). H. A. Wegner et al. discuss London dispersion forces in azobenzene switches, and J. Zhou et al. present a palladium-catalyzed heteroarylation and concomitant ortho-arylation of aryl iodides.
