The Nobel Prize in Chemistry will be announced tomorrow.

So far, our readers think an American biochemist will win the 2020 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. 51 % of the participants think an American Laureate is most likely, followed by Europe with 34 %. This is a significant change from last year, when America received 42 % of the votes and Europe 45 %.

The top fields in the poll are biochemistry (26 %), organic chemistry (15 %), materials and polymers (13 %), inorganic chemistry (11 %), and medicinal chemistry (10 %). The most suggested Laureates are Amgad M. Rabie, Svante Pääbo, and Omar M. Yaghi.
