Huntsman Corporation announced that it has acquired EMA Kimya Sistemleri Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S., an MDI (diphenylmethane diisocyanate)-based polyurethanes systems house in Istanbul, Turkey. EMA will become part of Huntsman’s Polyurethanes division and will be known as Huntsman-EMA. The EMA systems house has the capacity to manufacture polyester polyols and blend MDI polyurethane systems used primarily in the insulation, automotive, adhesives, coatings, elastomers and furniture industries. 2010 revenues were approximately $17 million.
