Solvay inaugurates South-East Asia's largest sodium bicarbonate plant. Located on Solvay's existing site in Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate, Rayong province, Thailand, benefits from strong synergies in infrastructure, utilities, and supply chain.

Solvay invested € 20 million in this plant which uses Solvay's new generation BICAR® production technology that minimizes waste generation, optimizes energy recovery, and maximizes yield. The plant has an annual production capacity of 100,000 tons,
