Communicator Award
The Deutsche Forschungsgesellschaft (DFG) award is worth €50,000 and is presented to researchers or teams from all fields of research who make their research work and specialist area accessible to a wider audience in a particularly innovative, diverse, and effective way and engage in a dialogue between the research community and the public.

2024 IUPAC—Solvay International Award

The IUPAC award honores outstanding Ph.D. theses in the general area of the chemical sciences. Each year, IUPAC awards up to five prizes. Each prize consists of an US$1000 cash award and up to US$1000 towards travel expenses to attend the next IUPAC Congress, where the awards will be presented. The awards will be presented at the 2025 IUPAC Congress, to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in July 2025.

ISC3 Innovation Challenge in Sustainable Chemistry and Textiles
Which innovative ideas in Sustainable Chemistry have the potential to improve the textile sector? This is the question posed by the International Sustainable Chemistry Collaborative Centre (ISC3) in the Innovation Challenge 2024. Start-ups and innovators from all over the world can apply with their answers and solutions.
The winner will receive prize money of EUR 15,000. In addition, the winners of two further categories, namely “Best Regional Impact” and “Best Social Impact” or “Special Impact”, will receive prize money of EUR 5,000 each.

Wöhler-BASF Young Talent Award 2024

The GDCh award is given to young Ph.D. scientists for outstanding independent scientific work in the field of inorganic chemistry. This work should have been completed within the first six years of independent research. The prize is endowed with 5000 Euro.

ORCHEM Prize for Young Scientists 2024

The Liebig Association for Organic Chemistry of the GDCh award honores young scientists who have distinguished themselves by new, original, and pioneering scientific work in the field of organic chemistry and who are not yet in a leading position or have only recently been appointed. The prize is endowed with EUR 5,000 and is usually awarded to two persons and includes a certificate and prize money of EUR 2,500 per person. The prize is traditionally awarded at the ORCHEM Conference. The awardees present the results of their award-winning work in a talk.
