Abstract A one‐pot methodology is developed for the direct conversion of N‐formylamine, 2‐amino pyridine, and aldehyde into 2,3‐substituted imidazo[1,2‐a]pyridine heterocycles using I2‐PPh3‐Et3N reagent system under microwave irradiation. Abstract Reaction of 4‐[(4′‐trimethylsilyl‐1H‐1′,2′,3′‐triazol‐1‐yl)methyl]‐2H‐chromen‐2‐ones with benzaldehyde and tetra‐n‐butylammonium fluoride (TBAF) in THF yielded ten novel coumarinyl‐ triazoyl‐ phenyl methanol derivatives in 88%–97% yields.
