Synthesis and Structure of Tin and Germanium Complexes as Precursors Containing Alkoxyaminoalkoxide Ligands for Thin Film Transistors

This paper describes the preparation of four novel Sn and Ge complexes containing alkoxyaminoalkoxide type ligands {L1H = 1‐[methoxy(methyl)amino]‐2‐methylpropan‐2‐ol; L2H = 1‐[methoxy(methyl)amino]‐2‐methylbutan‐2‐ol} for potential use as precursors for thin film transistors. Design of Hydrazone‐Modified 1,8‐Naphthalimides as Fluorogenic Click Probes Based on Nitrile Imine‐Alkyne Cycloaddition

We designed four 4‐hydrazone‐1,8‐naphthalimides as novel fluorogenic click probes, from which the in situ generated nitrile imines react with bicyclo[6.1.0]nonyne through strain‐promoted 1,3‐dipolar cycloaddition. The resulting pyrazole cycloadducts were found to be highly fluorescent with compelling photophysical properties, including large stokes shift (up to 152 nm), high fluorescence quantum yields (up to 0.85), and notable fluorescence enhancement (up to 196.9‐fold). Head‐to‐Tail Dimerization of 4‐Fluoroacetophenone in the KOH/DMSO Superbase Suspension and Related SNAr Reaction

The head‐to‐tail autocondensation of 4‐fluoroacetophenone in the KOH/DMSO superbase suspension stops on dimerization step affording 4‐acetylbenzyl‐4'‐fluorophenylketone in 96 % yield. Further condensation of the diketone formed is prevented by a weaker electron‐withdrawing effect of enolate spacer, –CH=C(OK)–. 2‐Fluoro‐ and 3‐fluoroacetophenones are inactive in this reaction. Abstract Raman optical activity (ROA) is pursued as a promising method for structural analyses of sugars in aqueous solutions.
