Abstract Selenium nanoparticles (SeNPs) have attracted lots of attention recently owing to their excellent bioavailability and low toxicity. However, the stability of SeNPs needs to be improved. The direct conversion of ketones into chiral primary amines is a key transformation in chemistry. Here, we present a ruthenium catalyzed asymmetric reductive amination (ARA) of purely aliphatic ketones with good yields and moderate enantioselectivity: up to 99 % yield and 74 % ee. Abstract A simple, sensitive and cost‐effective HPLC‐UV bioanalytical method for determination of lopinavir (LPV) in rat and human plasma was developed and validated. The plasma sample preparation procedure includes a combination of protein precipitation using cold acetonitrile and liquid–liquid extraction with n‐hexane–ethyl acetate (7:3, v/v). Abstract BACKGROUND Insect glutathione S‐transferases (GSTs) play a crucial role in insecticide detoxification. However, there remains a distinct lack of information regarding the role of GSTs in the detoxification of Tolfenpyrad (TFP) in insects. RESULTS Real‐time quantitative PCR showed significant upregulation of PxGSTs after exposure to TFP for 6 h. Enantioselective Reformatsky Reaction of Ketones Catalyzed by Chiral Indolinylmethanol

A reliable and practical Reformatsky reaction of ethyl iodide acetate with ketones for the synthesis of chiral β‐hydroxyl carbonyl compounds in good yields and excellent enantioselectivities is presented. A readily available dihydroindole derivative was used as chiral catalyst, ethyl iodide acetate was the nucleophile, and Me2Zn was the zinc source. The presence of air was found to be essential for the efficient construction of new carbon–carbon bonds through a radical pathway.
