Abstract Synthetic nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) analogues are of great scientific and biotechnological interest. Abstract Electrocatalytic nitrogen reduction reaction (NRR) is a complementary route to the traditional Haber‐Bosch process. Abstract Insights into the catalytic transformation of propane to propene on V‐apatite catalysts are provided based on structure‐reactivity relationships. Substitution of phosphates by vanadates in the hydroxyapatite structure leads to the formation of Ca10(PO4)6‐x(VO4)x(OH)2‐yOy V‐oxy‐hydroxy‐apatite solid solutions (x=0→6). Abstract An efficient and regioselective three‐component heteroarylation‐nitration of alkenes with imidazo[1,2‐a]pyridines and tert‐butyl nitrite has been developed. The process tolerants a variety of functional groups under mild conditions in the absence of catalysts and additives to give nitro functionalized imidazo[1,2‐a]pyridine derivatives in moderate to good yields. The reaction is also applicable for some other aza‐heterocycles.
