Dr. Amitabh Banerji, Bergische Universität Wuppertal, Germany, works with Professor M. Tausch to develop experiments with photoactive materials for school students and teaching aids for teachers.


In this short video Amitabh Banerji explains the concept behind this project and talks about his current project, which involves developing experiments and teaching aids for introducing the concept of organic solar cells to secondary-school students.



Dr. Amitabh Banerji
studied chemistry and computer science at Freie Universität Berlin, Germany, and then carried out his teacher training at the Herder-Gymnasium, Berlin. In 2012, he obtained his Ph.D. at Bergische Universität Wuppertal, Germany, performed under the supervision of Professor M. Tausch.

Currently, Banerji works as a research assistant for Professor Tausch, and also as a teacher and subject coordinator at Junior Uni Wuppertal.
