Author: Angewandte Chemie International Edition

In this issue, Panchao Yin et al. review spatiotemporal studies of soluble inorganic nanostructures with X-rays and neutrons. Jinn-Kong Sheu et al. summarize research on thermal treatment on enhanced electrocatalysis of nanomaterials. The Minireviews deal with spin frustration in organic radicals (Xinping Wang et al.), organic optoelectronic synaptic materials and devices (Hui Huang et al.), as well as the bioinspired design of electrocatalysts for CO2 reduction to C1 products (Marc-Olivier Coppens et al.).

In the original research section, Min Jiang et al. describe enzymatic upcycling of PET waste to calcium terephthalate for battery anodes (see picture). Patricia Gorgojo et al. achieved high gas permeability in aged superglassy membranes with nanosized UiO-66−NH2/cPIM-1 network filters. Peter Schwerdtfeger et al. calculated what makes the balance tip between the bcc and fcc phase within the alkali and coinage metal groups, and Noah Z. Burns et al. succeeded in the total synthesis of (+)-discorhabdin V.
