Angewandte Chemie 22/2024: Architectures

Author: Angewandte Chemie International Edition

In this issue, Gregory N. Tew et al. review advanced architectures of bottlebrush networks. The Minireviews deal with the chemical synthesis of modified RNA (Ronald Micura et al.), sustainable aqueous zinc ion batteries (Zhiqiang Niu et al.), as well as ionic colvalent organic frameworks in adsorption and catalysis (Gaofeng Zeng et al.). Yan-Bo Wu et al. comment on planar tetracoordinate hydrogen, and Ankur Kanti Guha et al. reply.

In the original research section, Qing-Hui Guo et al. report on cyclooctatetraene-embedded carbon nanorings. Leonard J. Prins et al. present a minimalistic covalent-bond-forming chemical reaction cycle that consumes adenosine diphosphate. Monika Raj et al. succeeded in the bioinspired synthesis of allysine for the late-stage functionalization of peptides. Shigehiro Yamaguchi et al. describe near-infrared-emissive two-boron-doped polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (see picture).
