Angewandte Chemie 27/2023: Driving Synthesis and Function

Angewandte Chemie 27/2023: Driving Synthesis and Function

Author: Angewandte Chemie International Edition

In this issue, Liqiang Mai et al. review in-situ X-ray absorption spectroscopy of metal/nitrogen-doped carbons in oxygen electrocatalysis. Bin Li et al. discuss driving polymer brushes from synthesis to functioning. The Minireviews deal with chiral control of gas-phase molecules with microwave pulses (Melanie Schnell et al.) and mechanochemical degradation and recycling of synthetic polymers (Junpeng Wang et al.).

In the original research section, Chengliang Wang et al. describe a recyclable and scalable high-capacity organic battery (see picture). Shinichiro Fuse et al. achieved peptide cyclization by the use of acylammonium species. Mark G. Humphrey et al. found high quadratic to septic optical nonlinearity in dipolar alkynylmetal–porphyrin hybrids. Christian E. Schafmeister et al. present spiroligomer-based macrocycles for atomically precise membranes.
