Angewandte Chemie 43/2022: Highly Advantageous

Author: Angewandte Chemie International Edition

In this issue, A. Ruedinger et al. review catalytic applications of non-centrosymmetric oxide nanomaterials, and G. Yu et al. summarize research on sorbents for atmospheric water harvesting. The Minireviews deal with Schiff-base-mediated dipeptide assembly toward nanoarchitectonics (J. Li et al.) and chiral nanozymes for enantioselective biological catalysis (X. Qu et al.).

In the original research section, H. Grützmacher et al. present bis(imidazolium)-1,3-diphosphete-diide as a new building block for FeC2P2 complexes and clusters (see picture). K. M. Engle et al. succeeded in the regio- and stereoselective 1,2-oxyhalogenation of non-conjugated alkynes via directed nucleopalladation to obtain catalytic access to tetrasubstituted alkenes. Z. Zhang et al. synthesized an ultramicroporous hydrogen-bonded organic framework which exhibits high C2H2/CO2 separation. H. Dube et al. demonstrate that heterocyclic hemithioindigos have highly advantageous properties as molecular photoswitches.
