In this issue, Giulio Ragazzon et al. review artificial molecular ratchets that enable endergonic processes. Yongyao Xia et al. discuss the construction of solid electrolyte interphases for aqueous zinc batteries. The Minireviews deal with self-growing organic materials (Jiaxi Cui et al.), peptide-mimic phosphonium salt catalysts in asymmetric synthesis (Tianli Wang et al.) as well as the alignment and dynamic inversion of planar chirality in pillar[n]arenes (Tomoki Ogoshi et al.).

In the original research section, Akihiro Ohira et al. present an aqueous redox flow battery with CO2 as an active material with a homogeneous iridium catalyst. Naiwrit Karmodak and Jens K. Nørskov demonstrate the activity and stability of single- and di-atom catalysts for the oxygen reduction reaction. Zhiqiang Zhu et al. report on a reversible six-electron transfer cathode for advanced aqueous zinc batteries (see picture). Martina Delbianco et al. controlled the assembly of cellulose-based oligosaccharides through sequence modifications.
