Angewandte Chemie 49/2022: Chemical Approaches

Author: Angewandte Chemie International Edition

In this issue, R. Haag et al. review chemical approaches to synthetic drug delivery systems for systemic applications and S. P. Lau et al. summarize the state of research in electrocatalytic CO2 reduction to chemicals and fuels. The Minireviews deal with siloxane-based organosilicon materials for electrochemical energy storage (L.-W. Xu et al.), [FeFe]-hydrogenase in vitro maturation (J. B. Broderick et al.) as well as selective amide activation (N. Maulide et al.).

In the original research section, L. Wen describe how sensitive and reversible labeling enables global mapping of the core-fucosylated glycoproteome on cell surfaces (see picture). X. Feng et al. synthesized vinylene-linked 2D conjugated covalent organic frameworks by Wittig reactions. A. Cabot et al. used the spin effect to promote reaction kinetics and overall performance of lithium–sulfur batteries under external magnetic fields. D. Bardelang et al. found energy-efficient iodine uptake by a molecular host·guest crystal.
