While the national chemical societies of ChemPubSoc Europe all honour established and upcoming scientists with their national medals and awards, the journals concentrate on encouraging students whose work is outstanding, often at conferences of the divisions of these societies. Each year different conferences are selected to reach as many candidates as possible.

For instance, read about the prizewinners at the GECOM-CONCOORD Conference in Toulouse, supported by the Société Chimique de France or at the Gordon Conference Metals in Medicine organized by Nils Metzler-Nolte, board member of ChemMedChem. In addition the journals recognize top scientists in their specific field. An example of this in 2014 is the EurJOC lecture at the conference of the organic division of the Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker (GDCh, German Chemical Society).
