The Angewandte Author Profiles celebrate an author’s 10th, 25th, 50th, or 100th article in the journal since 2000. This month, the following authors have had their 10th paper published, and Helmuth Möhwald celebrates his 25th.

Helmuth Möhwald, Max Planck Institute
of Colloids and Interfaces, Potsdam, Germany:

The most exciting thing about my research is that I managed to combine physics, chemistry, and biosciences and managed to succeed with “cheap” experiments.

Luis M. Liz-Marzán, University of Vigo, Spain:

My favorite piece of research is Michael Faraday's 1857 study on “Experimental Relations of Gold (and Other Metals) to Light”.

Anthony K. Cheetham, University of Cambridge, UK:

Young people should study chemistry because they enjoy it; otherwise they should do something else that involves less work and pays better.

Kilian Muñiz, Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ), Tarragona, Spain: When I was eighteen I wanted to move to and live in Spain (it just took me another 20 years to see it through).
