Angewandte Chemie 18/2022: Direct Bonds

Author: Angewandte Chemie International Edition

In this issue, S. Kruss et al. review biosensing with fluorescent carbon nanotubes. What are suitable chemical design strategies? The Minireview deals with supramolecular self-assembly in living cells (J. Geng et al.).

In the original research section, K. V. Agrawal et al. demonstrate controlled nanometer-scale expansion of the vacancy defects in graphene by CO2 (see picture). A. Manthiram et al. used a covalent organic framework as an efficient protection layer for a lithium-metal anode. C. Wöll et al. present MOF-hosted enzymes for continuous-flow catalysis in aqueous and organic solvents. With the help of NMR spectroscopy, J. Jiménez-Barbero et al. found that the SARS-CoV-2 spike glycoprotein binds directly to exogeneous sialic acids.
