Angewandte Chemie 20/2018: Electrifying Chemistry

Author: Angewandte Chemie International Edition

In this issue, S. R. Waldvogel et al. review electroorganic transformations. How do they give rise to safe processes, mild transformations, and alternative access to desired products? The Highlight deals with the photocatalytic deuteration of halides (Y. Yu, B. Zhang).

In the Communications section, R. Tampé et al. present super-chelators for protein labeling in living cells (see picture). J. S. Hub et al. refined temperature-dependent atomic models of detergent micelles against small-angle X-ray scattering data. Q.-M. Wang et al. synthesized a large nanocluster with C1 symmetry, and R. T. Baker et al. succeeded in a nickel flurorocarbene metathesis with fluoroalkenes.
