Angewandte Chemie 46/2018: Adding to Chemistry

Author: Angewandte Chemie International Edition

In this issue, M. Armand et al. review electrolyte additives for lithium metal anodes and rechargeable lithium batteries. How can additives help effectively circumvent problems with these devices? In a Minireview, K. C. Bentz and S. M. Cohen summarize work on supramolecular metallopolymers. K. S. Egorova and P. V. Toukach share a Viewpoint on glycoinformatics. The Highlight deals with ketenes in zeolite chemistry and catalysis (A. D. Chowdhury, J. Gascon).

In the Communications section, J. Luo et al. present MXene aerogel scaffolds for high-rate lithium metal anodes (see picture). T. F. Jaramillo et al. obtained a highly active molybdenum phosphide catalyst for methanol synthesis from CO and CO2. S.Shima et al. discovered how [Fe]-hydrogenase from Methanothermobacter is protected against light and oxidative stress. J. T. Shaw et al. succeeded in an enantioselective synthesis of indolines, benzodihydrothiophenes, and indanes by C–H insertion of donor/donor carbenes.
