Angewandte Chemie 40/2020: Sustainable Processes

Author: Angewandte Chemie International Edition

In this issue, X. Zhang et al. review the production of hydrogen peroxide by photocatalytic processes. What progress has been made recently on this sustainable method? The Minireviews deal with cancer immunotherapy by means of biomaterials (X. Liu et al.) and synthetic organic design for solar fuel systems (J. Warnan, E. Reisner).

In the original research section, H.-A. Wagenknecht et al. present evidence for long-range photodamage to DNA (see picture). N. W. Mitzel et al. found an adduct of sulfur monoxide to a frustrated Sn/P Lewis pair. T. N. Snaddon et al. succeeded in the enantioselective syntheses of Strychnos and Chelidonium alkaloids through regio- and stereocontrolled cooperative catalysis, and D. Écija et al. synthesized diradical organic one-dimensional polymers on a metallic surface.
