The scientist we are looking for this time was a pioneer at the U.S. Geological Survey, a scientific agency of the United States government, where he or she worked mostly on the analysis of natural waters. During World War II, our chemist worked for the Manhattan Project and developed new methods for the quantitative analysis of uranium and thorium.
