In this issue, N. Cramer et al. review the design and syntheses of chiral cyclopentadienyl ligands and their applications in asymmetric synthesis; L. Fruk et al. summarize work on biopolymer-based carriers for DNA vaccine design. The Minireviews deal with biomedical micro- and nanomotors (J. Shen et al.) and atomically dispersed reactive centers for electrocatalytic CO2 reduction and water splitting (X. W. Lou et al.). In a Correspondence, S. Grimme et al. comment on chalcogen-bonding-type tellurium–nitrogen interactions, and Y. V. Vishnevskiy and N. W. Mitzel reply.

In the original research section, J.-J. Xu et al. present an integrated
electrochemical nanodevice for intracellular RNA collection and detection in single living cells (see picture). A. J. Plajer and C. K. Williams found that sodium is key to the activity and selectivity of heterotrimetallic carbon dioxide copolymerization and switchable catalysts. M. Juríček et al. synthesized a cycloparaphenylene–phenalenyl radical and its dimeric double nanohoop. L. Walder et al. developed a metallocene battery with fast electron transfer self-exchange and harmonic height breathing.
