In this issue, M. G. Organ et al. review sampling and analysis in flow for more efficient and sustainable fine-chemical manufacturing, and J. Chen et al. summarize fundamental and industrial research on the electrochemical reduction of carbon dioxide to carbon monoxide. The Minireview deals with the modification of the selectivity of transition-metal-catalyzed transformations by light (C. J. Teskey et al.).

In the original research section, Q. Wang et al. describe the exploitation of anion-π interactions for selective catalysis with chiral molecular cages (see picture). S. Kundu et al. succeeded in metal-free transformations of nitrogen-oxyanions to ammonia via oxoammonium salts. G. Resnati et al. investigated the molecular electrostatic potential and noncovalent interactions in derivatives of group 8 elements. X. Lu et al. recognized the void-confinement effect in ruthenium-nanoparticle-loaded hollow carbon spheres as nanoreactors for hydrogenation of levulinic acid. T. A. Hamlin et al. found the origin of the α-effect in SN2 reactions.
