The Handelsblatt Stratley Award 2012 has been awarded to Dr. Fabrice Bertinchamps, SABIC, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The award recognizes junior executives in the chemical industry who have demonstrated leadership, creativity and commitment to either the transfer of products from research to production, the development or optimization of production processes, or the expansion of the product portfolio or international sales relationships. The award was presented at the 13th Handelsblatt Annual Congress, Frankfurt, Germany, on May 10, 2012.

Fabrice Bertinchamps received his Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium. He joined Total Petrochemicals, Courbevoie, France, in 2005 as Technical Service and Development Engineer for Eurasia. He moved to SABIC in 2009, where he was General Manager, Business Strategy – Performance Chemicals, until January 2012, when he became General Manager of Business Strategy – Polymers. Bertinchamps leads an international team of 25 engineers and business professionals, spread across six sites.
