Author: Angewandte Chemie International Edition

The nucleation of organic crystals is reviewed by J. H. ter Horst et al. from a molecular perspective. How does self-association in different solvents lead to specific crystalline phases? The Highlights deal with the diphenylprolinol silyl ether catalyzed Michael addition (C. Moberg) and solventless zeolite synthesis (R. E. Morris and J. L. James).

In the Communications section, N. Martín et al. describe self-ordering electron–acceptor nanohybrids based on single-walled carbon nanotubes (see picture). P. Espinet et al. succeeded in Stille couplings with bulky substituents by using gold cocatalysts. M. Peruzzini et al. report on the high-pressure chemistry of red phosphorus with water under near-UV irradiation. D.-H. Min et al. present a simple test system based on graphene oxide to screen for selective inhibitors of a hepatitis C virus helicase.
