Long-term data show that the European Unioun (EU) chemicals industry, including pharmaceuticals, significantly reduced its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions on a consistent basis from 330.4 million tonnes of CO2 equivalents in 1990 to 165.8 million tonnes in 2010.
