AEA Investors LP has signed an agreement to acquire the municipal, industrial and services water- and wastewater-treatment operations and assets of Siemens Water Technologies for EUR 640 million. The transaction is still subject to regulatory approval.
With more than 45 years of investing experience, AEA is a private equity partner to middle market companies.
Under AEA, the company will continue focus on municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment equipment and services.

Siemens is focusing its water-related activities on automation and drive solutions for the operation of water and sewage treatment plants and seawater desalination plants.
