Germany Freezes Research Promotion

Author: ChemistryViews

The VCI (Verband der Chemischen Industrie e.V. (German chemical industry association)) is disappointed by the plans of the Federal German Government to freeze fiscal research promotion.

Dr. Gerd Romanowski, VCI managing director science, technology and environment, thinks it is unfortunate that the Federal Government wants to sacrifice this avenue to more research in Germany in its need to economize. The value of this program to stimulate more research is undisputed by all parties and is a component of the coalition contract.

The VCI hopes that this will not be the last word on the subject.
