Each day we will reveal a bit more of a molecule. Can you guess what it is 🤔❓
On Saturday, we will show the whole molecule 🧩🔬👀
On to the next—and final—round of molecular guessing. What are we looking for?

Thomas Magauer and colleagues, University of Innsbruck, Austria, worked out a complete laboratory synthesis of ganoapplanin, a highly complex natural molecule originally found in a medicinal fungus, after systematically testing and refining several failed synthetic strategies. The work was published in ChemistryEurope.
Here is the 2nd molecule—do you have any idea what it might be?

The second molecule we were looking for is the molybdenum product [MoF₅(terpy)]⁺. It represents the first known cationic Mo(VI)–fluoride complex, as reported by Michael Gerken (University of Lethbridge, Canada) and colleagues in Chem. Eur. J.

The next molecule to guess will be revealed on Tuesday, December 16.
Are you ready for the 1st “Guess the Molecule”?

The first molecule we were looking for is this In/Bi cluster published in Angewandte Chemie, we also talked about it in a short ChemistryViews interview with Tonya Vitova, Stefanie Dehnen, and Wim Klopper from KIT.
The next molecule to guess will be revealed on Tuesday, December 9.
