LyondellBasell has made an investment in the recycling and plastic waste processing sector by acquiring a 50 % stake in the Dutch company, Stiphout Industries B.V. Stiphout is specialized in sourcing and processing post-consumer plastic packaging waste at its facility in Montfort, the Netherlands. This facility has the annual capacity to process the equivalent of the plastic packaging waste generated by over 500,000 Dutch citizens each year.

Founded in 2015, Stiphout has gained expertise in the transformation of plastic household waste into high-quality flakes of recycled polypropylene (PP) and high-density polyethylene (HDPE) materials.
