Angewandte Chemie 28/2022: Practical and Direct

Author: Angewandte Chemie International Edition

In this issue, J. J. Gooding et al. review the influence of nanoconfinement on electrocatalysis. How can the implementation of nanoconfinement help break linear scaling relationships? The Minireview by D. J. Scott deals with practical, direct transformations of P4 compounds into P1 compounds. In a Scientific Perspective, C. Streb et al. propose a framework for standardized reporting of data derived from light-driven catalysis.

In the original research section, A. Turchanin et al. describe the preparation of two-dimensional photosensitizer nanosheets via low-energy electron beam induced crosslinking of self-assembled RuII polypyridine monolayers. L. Mao et al. present graphdiyne as a new carbon allotrope for electrochemiluminescence. A. Jana et al. realized 1,1-dehydration of secondary alcohols to carbenes by using pyrrolidin-2-ols as a source of cyclic (alkyl)(amino)carbenes (see picture). N. Winssinger et al. controlled therapeutic agents optochemically through photocatalyzed isomerization.
