Angewandte Chemie 33/2022: Long-Lived State

Author: Angewandte Chemie International Edition

In this issue, Y. Tang et al. review alloy-type anodes for high-performance rechargeable batteries. How can they help keep electrode potential and cost low? The Minireview deals with metal–organic frameworks with low-valent metal nodes (S. M. Cohen et al.).

In the original research section, M. Matsusaki et al. describe a biomacromolecule-fueled transient volume phase transition of a hydrogel (see picture). X. Zhang et al. succeeded in the rhodium-catalyzed chemo-, regio-, and enantioselective hydroformylation of cyclopropyl-functionalized trisubstituted alkenes. H. G. Yaglioglu et al. detected a long-lived charge-transfer state in spiro compact electron donor–acceptor dyads based on pyromellitimide-derived rhodamine. A. Hirsch et al. achieved molecular stacking on graphene.
